Video games have always been one of my favourite pastimes, both as a youngster and as an adult. Despite the fact that some may find video games to be juvenile, I have always found them to be quite enjoyable for people of all ages, which is why I have always loved them.
Many people think that you should grow out of playing video games as a hobby once you reach a particular age and instead pay attention to other things. I really disagree with this since I believe that you can always play video games.
There are games for players of all ages, from 2 to 30. Video games are one of those pastimes that, despite not endangering your physical or mental health in any way, yet receive harsh criticism from peers. It’s hard for me to be ashamed of my affection for them because I’ve always liked them. It’s okay if people think they’re ridiculous since I still like them in the end.
Grand Theft Auto is one of the most well-known video game franchises ever. Although it is intended for players over 18, due to its widespread appeal, youngsters and teenagers frequently purchase the game. Over the years, this game has drawn a lot of criticism for encouraging crime and violence in real life, yet nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of letting you vent your anger in the real world, the game is more likely to produce chaos and turmoil in the virtual one. Despite all of the critiques it has received, GTA is also an incredibly entertaining game.
The game does not actively encourage crime, and at no point during any of the games do they make any declaration that committing crimes is in any way cool. But, it does give players some leeway to act like utter idiots like stealing cars and murdering random bystanders and cops. Shame there isn’t a grey dressing table stool to throw in the mix.
FIFA, a series of football games, is another entertaining game despite having its own set of technical and design issues. Because everyone enjoys playing football, FIFA is entertaining to play. There isn’t a substitute for FIFA as a football game, which is why it has grown to be such a successful franchise. PES would have to be the closest substitute, but the game itself lacks the licencing for authentic football leagues and, hence, authentic teams. As you don’t really want to play as West London against East London United, this greatly reduces the enjoyment of the game. You want to take on West Ham as Chelsea.
Ratchet and Clank is a fun game that was just released and is mainly geared towards children. In this game, you play as an extraterrestrial with a ferret-like appearance that teams up with an adorable little robot to save the galaxy. The game itself is childlike, yet it’s nevertheless enjoyable for players of all ages. Those who assert that video games only encourage violence ought to try playing titles intended for kids and teenagers. Although the majority of this blog article has been spent defending the video game business, I adore it and detest any insults directed towards it.
